La The Cottage- Girou (Wheelchair access*)

This lovely sunny gite full of character and tastefully decorated and furnished by the owner; a local French potter, is set in 50 acres of fields and woodlands on a peaceful hillside in one of France's most unspoilt regions..
The
Old Pottery' is the perfect spot to unwind but also a chance to try
out your creative skills in the pottery and sample the excellent house
wine.
The bright kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, gas cooker, coffee maker, toaster, kettle.
French windows open onto the sunny flowered terrace from where a small gate leads to the private pool and garden.

There is also a lovely spacious living/dining room with woodstove; ideal for candlelit dinners or just relaxing on the large comfortable sofa and watching T.V. or listening to a CD.

'The Old Pottery' has four bedrooms; two doubles; one with a standard 140cm bed and the other a king size and two twins each with two single beds. There is a large shower room/WC as well as a bathroom, also with WC.

The private swimming pool, 8 m diameter (above ground) is perfect for family games and secured by gates.
To make lengths and a real fitness or for the nocturnes you can always enjoy the swimming pool family of 10m on 5m.
As To dream and moor under the sun, the lodging of the Girou is ideal. Swings and a cabin await your children in the shade of an oak wood, in all tranquility. Hiking trails lead from the lodge to paths that contain treasures, a deer, a hare or a raptor, songs of birds, strange stones and sometimes fossils, a graceful and wild plant, ode to this beautiful nature of Lot.

The Old Pottery,Girou is just a 10 minute drive from junction 57 of the A20 motorway, and approx. 8 hours drive from Calais and the Eurotunnel port. The Gite is ideally situated for the 'low cost' airlines with Rodez (Ryan Air) and Bergerac ( Ryan Air, Flybe ) airports both about an hour and a half away. Toulouse airport ( Easyjet, British Airways, Flybe, Bmi, Air Europa etc ) is just an hour down the motorway and offers regular flights from various parts of the U.K. including London Gatwick. If you are thinking of coming by train then the 'Eurostar' stops at Cahors station where hire cars are available (best to book first). For anyone stopping over or flying into Paris the drive down usually takes about 6 hours from the City and just a little longer from Roissy - Charles de Gaulle Airport.

*The property offers wheelchair access to all rooms and with one of the bedrooms being large enough to accommodate someone with special needs. There is also a raised toilet with handrail and a walk-in shower with specially modified washbasin area to make life easier for wheelchair users
